Frogster presents the background story of ELIGIUM Check out the first Chapter of the History of Galgaron
Berlin 04.04.2012 – Today, on the official website ELIGIUM – The Chosen One, all players will be able to read the first chapter in the History of Galgaron, a chronology of the game’s world. On this occasion, Frogster has decided to reveal some details about this epic saga and show a high level location in the three brand new screenshots – Osenhelm Desert. Four new artworks will show players creatures that they will be able to meet whilst venturing through the hot desert sands and once abandoned ruins.
“Children of a now-forgotten land, the Heavenly Court and Empire of the Glistening Flame had waged war for countless eons, bickering over territorial claims, until one day imperial scholars explored a mysterious barrow. Deep within, amidst the treasures, the gifts of the gods to a forgotten race were discovered. Unknown to the intruders, a diabolical chain of events was set in motion.
Assailed on all sides by a demonic host, the brave warriors and mages of the now-united armies stood side by side in a battle the likes of which the stars had seldom seen before. After a cataclysmic conflict, a war with no victor, the land was left cursed and scorched, unfit for even the hardiest of beasts. And so gigantic arks were built and upon these sleek vessels, the people of the Heavenly Court and Empire of the Glistening Flame left their homes, and fared far away from the ruins of the past and the ravages of war.
New shores would welcome the brave men and women, new allies would greet these noble travelers, new gods would embrace their acts of worship and new cities would be built in the likeness of their ancient memories. But greed, delusion and anger, those most pervasive evils, would again drive a dagger into the heart of a hard-earned alliance… until the day that an age-old nemesis would once more reveal itself to the eyes of the world.”
Eligium – Round One - Fight!
Players from the USA, Germany, Poland and the UK are at the top of the gaming statistics
Berlin, 15/03/2012: The open beta of ELIGIUM – The Chosen One is off to a very successful start. Already 45 guilds have been formed in the game, the largest of which counting 334 members. Although most of the guilds were created by German players, American guilds have the most members. These guilds are not only large, but also very active. Since the 15th of February, almost 22 million monsters have been killed. US players alone defeated a total of 5,903,612 beasts in their attempt to catch up with the Germans and their awe-inspiring 6,027,569 kills. The players from the UK are fourth in this ranking, behind Poland (4,173,657 kills), having killed 4,090,891 mobs so far.
At the moment, some ELIGIUM players have already succeeded in ascending to the lofty heights of character level 53, where the current level cap is 60. Nipping at their heels we have players from the UK at level 51. More importantly, this information is available for everyone in ELIGIUM’s ranking system, which not only features a ranking of character levels in the game, but also of wealth, PvP status and items.
Reward for Testers
Prior to the start of beta testing, Frogster promised to reward all active players for reporting encountered errors. The main prize for the most active testers will be an in-game title, which will tell everyone about their accomplishments. In addition, for a limited time only, all beta testers above level 25 can now claim a gift by speaking to the NPC "Gift Manager", which can be found in any of the main cities on the continent of Galgaron.

Frogster will soon open another English server for ELIGIUM. Other language versions of the game will be introduced after the official release of the English version. Exact release dates will be confirmed at a later time.
Furthermore, in an ongoing competition organized by the ELIGIUM community managers, players can win a large decorative artwork (and it’s not just any artwork – it measures 1 x 2.5 meters!). Berlin, 06.02.2012: All heroes wishing to venture back into the dangerous realm of Galgaron, along with novices who have not yet had the opportunity to gaze upon this wondrous place, can now feel free to return to the mysterious continent. On 15.02.2012, Frogster will start the open beta phase of MMORPG ELIGIUM – The Chosen One.
Get ready, beta testers!
During the closed beta phase, players were very active and demonstrated a great deal of commitment and engagement in reporting even the smallest of bugs. The special topic category on the official game forum was regularly updated and Frogster employees were relentlessly checking all suggestion and bug report sections. This is why the company has decided to give a special reward and privileges to the most active testers during the open beta.
That’s not all!
Setting off on their adventures in mid-February, players will also be able to choose the brave but fearsome Panda race from the very beginning. What is more, they will not have to fear a dreaded character-wipe after the beta phase, enabling everyone to enjoy playing with the hero that they created once the game is released later in 2012.
